Eternal Flame had its humble beginnings in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne Australia in May of 2005. Beginning with 3 local witches who desired and strived for something more than was on offer locally. After much consideration and discussion an agreement was forged and the spark ignited. Thus Eternal Flame was born.

An Eclectic Wiccan coven with no hierarchy and a broader understanding . Welcoming members from any creed , gender, age, sexual orientation and level of experience.

The Coven put in place its meeting structure and policies. These included …

*** Eternal Flame Creative/Craft Night

*** Eternal Flame Circle Night

This cycle allowed the knowledge to be cemented with a broader understanding than the average lesson.

Celebration of all Sabbats and Esbats.

The creation of The Cackle Club ,a social event every 2nd month for the adults and The Mini Cackle Club, a social event for held every 2nd month for the younger members under the age of 18.

Placement of the Coven Trip System which allows the coven to visit places of interest as a group. Broken up in to 3 major categories:

*** 1. Day Trips = Trips which are a couple of hours or at best the better part of a day. There is no limitation on the number of these trips only that of time constraints

*** 2. Overnight /Weekend Trips = Trips that require a stay of one or two nights. Limited to 6 a year

*** 3. Main Trips = Trips that require a large organization, are over a 2 night stay and are further to travel to. There is a limitation of 2 per year …..

This allowed Coven members the flexibility of attending that which fit into their agenda without missing out altogether ….. As the coven grew there were more hurdles to overcome…. The creation of "Rhiannon" The Eternal Flame Covenstead A 5acre Property in 2008 to accommodate for larger numbers and the creation of the online  groups which allowed for interstate and overseas members. And For those without the Internet , The Flame (coven newsletter) keeps members up to speed with information and upcoming events.
